We just love using these little fellas to dose our basket ready for a pour and we think you will too!  Designed and hand crafted by the beautiful Amandine Johnson, super clever Sustainable Industrial Designer, and partner to one of our wonderful Breakfast Rave Baristas Pete. Designed and crafted with loads of love, excitement and beautiful intention, we are proud to be able to share them here for those who just love to hold their coffee making tools with a sigh and a smile. Here’s a little bit about Amandine; its pretty easy to see why these tools feel so good in your hand!

“Amandine’s passion for the natural environment and it’s innate ability to create optimal biological designs are a compass for her creative philosophy; driving her to develop innovative and responsible design – regardless of the medium.

She believes that a product or service should be sustainable for the environment, the end user, encourage sustainable behavior within society and make financial sense. It should be made with recycled, reclaimed or sustainably-made materials that are appropriate to the design and the lifecycle of the product.

This design methodology is what inspired her to continue her studies at the University of South Australia, in Adelaide, Australia, where she graduated with a Master of Sustainable Design. She also holds a Bachelor of Design, majoring in Industrial Design, from OCAD University, in Toronto, Canada.

Some areas of her expertise include sustainable product design from concept development to fabrication – including prototyping using various tools & materials (wood, metals, plastics, fabrics, etc) and use of computer design software. She is also skilled at developing academic level research.

She looks forward to sharing her passion and talent to create successful and cutting edge designs.”
